E.O.P.C   Objectives

 

          The mission of the University of Southern California E.O.P.C is to increase the academic growth, preparation of the program participants, and to provide the enrichment and motivational support necessary to ensure their success in the completion of secondary school, enrollment in an appropriate post secondary program, and achievement of there educational objectives. The E.O.P.C is working to accomplish this end, by virtue of the following goals and objectives:

    • To encourage students to develop consistent patterns of analytical thinking.
    • To encourage students to seek learning for enjoyment and information.
    • To further intellectual, cultural and social growth.
    • To facilitate the development of positive -image.
    • To provide classes in English Composition and Literature, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Studies and Study Skills.
    • To familiarize students with the college selection, admissions and financial aid process.
    • To assess student’s career interest, provide an overview of the career world, and prepare students for career decision making.
    • To stimulate creativity in advance Math/Science, reading and writing.
    • Provide follow-up during student school year after the summer program.
    • Exposed students to a diversity of professions in the math and science area.
    • Develop academic skills and apply these skills to there regular school and life activities.
    • To ensure on-going individual and tutorial advisement.
    • To expose all of the participation to a diversity of culture, social, recreational and academic activities.
    • To install principles, value, positive attitude and behavior.
    • To recognize the need to become independent and responsible.
    • To understand that collaboration and cooperation offers better results then competition.
